A few programs are coming up with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.
Tumbling classes will be on Saturdays in October and three levels are offered. The Intro to Tumbling is for pre-kindergarten and kindergarteners. The class will be from 9:30-10am and there is a $25 fee for Greene County Community Center members and $30 for non-members. Tumbling I class is for first graders and older from 10-10:45am and the Tumbling II class is for individuals that have tumbling or acrobatic experience. The advanced class will be from 10:45-11:30am. The cost for the Tumbling I or II classes is $35 for members and $40 for non-members and all classes will be at the community center.
A new class called “Total Body Burn” will be led by Emily Vander Wilt. The fitness class will be held 5:15-5:45pm Mondays and Wednesdays from October 12th-November 21st. The cost to participate is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. The classes will be at the community center.
Finally, an adult 6-on-6 co-ed volleyball league will be on Sundays starting October 18th at the community center. Teams are limited to ten players and must have a balance of women and men. Team registrations are $75 and the deadline to sign up is October 14th.
