As the State surpasses 1,401 COVID-19 related deaths, Dallas and Guthrie counties reported one new death Tuesday.

There has been a recent increase in COVID-19 cases in area long-term care facilities. Last week Guthrie County Public Health reported 21 positive cases from Panora Specialty Care. According to the State Dashboard Tuesday, there are currently 28 active COVID-19 cases in long-term care facilities in Dallas County, including 26 at Perry Lutheran Home.

According to the state dashboard, as of Tuesday, Dallas County added 12 new cases since Sunday, increasing their total to 2,944. They also have 2,468 individuals that have recovered and 39 deaths. The county is at a 6.3% 14-day positive average. Greene County reported nine new cases since Sunday, increasing their total to 126. They’re also reporting 69 recoveries and zero deaths. Greene County is at a 7.2% 14-day positive average. Greene County Public Health is warning that the total case number will double in 30 days if the current pace continues.

According to the Guthrie and Adair County dashboard as of Tuesday, Guthrie County has 16 new positive COVID-19 cases, increasing their total to 296 total positive cases, 179 recoveries, and 11 deaths. Guthrie County has a 13.6% 14-day average positivity rate. Since Sunday, Adair County has two new cases, increasing their total to 79, with 52 recoveries and one death. Their positivity rate is at 6.2%.
