trees-forever

Two Greene County-based organizations have teamed up to provide several sessions related to gardening and growing plants and trees.

Greene County ISU Extension and Thomas Jefferson Gardens are co-hosting the first of these series about responding to the damaged and toppled over trees from the derecho storm in August. Trees Forever Coordinator and Jefferson resident Brad Riphagen will explain how to trim damaged trees and what kinds of trees are recommended to replant. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 13th at 10am.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, interested individuals must notify the Extension office by this Friday to ensure adequate space for proper social distancing. The session is free and open to the public. To reserve a seat, contact the Extension office at 515-386-2138 or email Extension Office Coordinator Cindy Adamson at cindya@iastate.edu
