Friday, October 2nd

12:24pm: Angela Dudley reported numerous items missing from her residence at 505 South Olive Street. The items had started disappearing in April of 2020. The list includes jewelry, electronics, and coins. The replacement value of the items is $3000.00. The officer is investigating.

6:36pm: A Traffic Stop at Cedar and Central resulted in Darcel Pittman of Perry being cited for, “Driving While Suspended and Operation without Registration.”

9:58pm: James Lorenzen reported hearing loud banging coming from the neighboring property at 505 North Grimmell Road. The officer did not locate anyone at the residence.

10:22pm: An officer attempted to conduct a Traffic Stop with a vehicle with a headlight out at 220th and Grimmell Road. The vehicle refused to yield, and a chase ensued. The vehicle headed west on Wall Street from Grimmell Road and then north on Kirkwood Ave. The vehicle pulled into a farm site and two subjects fled from the vehicle on foot. The officer was able to catch a juvenile female, but the driver went into a cornfield. The sheriff’s Office responded to assist with the search. The drone was sent up, but the subject was not located. The identity of the juvenile male driver is known, and Juvenile Charges are pending at this time.

11:19pm: Becky Kersey called in a Possible Intoxicated Driver on 220 th Street, heading westbound towards Grand Junction. A Boone County Deputy and the Chief of Police met in the Grand Junction area at the same time looking for the reported driver. The officers spoke to the driver at his residence and learned he was tired and showed no signs of impairment.

Saturday, October 3rd

12:28am: Cassie Fowler requested an officer at 307 Rushview Drive for a dispute with her husband. The officer mediated and the male agreed to spend the evening somewhere else and allow for a cool down period.

7:00am: An officer was requested to investigate a Deer vs. Car Accident at 230th and T Ave. A 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe, owned by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and being operated by Cale Crowder, struck a deer that ran into the roadway. The vehicle sustained a reported $800.00 in front end damage.

9:35am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of Rushview Drive.

9:44am: An officer was advised of trash left after a party at the Catholic Playground in the 500 Block of North Olive Street. The officer is working to review video from the playground and attempt to develop suspects in the matter.

10:08am: Bruce Binkley reported a possible sick cat near Chestnut and Washington Streets. The cat ran under a porch in the area and the officer was unable to capture it.

2:31pm: Chuck Bartholow reported “Kids” driving a golf cart near 305 East Park Street. The officer did not locate the reported subjects.

11:52pm: Stephanie Coil came to the LEC to report her boyfriend had assaulted her at 203 North Oak Street. The officer is investigating.

Sunday, October 4th

12:16am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at the HyVee Fast & Fresh Station at 106 West Washington Street. The officer found the business was secure and called a key holder to reset the alarm.

12:26am: Michael Coffman reported a large amount of water entering South Elm Street from

Greenewood Road. There is a flushing device on the hydrant that runs nightly at this location.

12:34am: Scott Carroll advised of a Suspicious Vehicle pulling in and out of driveways in the 700 Block of South Chestnut Street. The officer determined it was a newspaper delivery person.

5:41am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 1800 Doreen Wilbur Drive. The officer and a key holder searched the facility and found all to be normal inside.

7:00am: The Wild Rose Casino reported an Abandoned Bicycle at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer placed the bike in the Impound Lot.

2:58pm: Teresa Devilbiss reported young kids swinging a tree branch at each other in the 500 Block of North Olive Street and advised someone was going to get hurt. The officer spoke to the youths about the issue.

5:15pm: Amelia Kennedy reported her daughter set her cell phone down at the playground in the 500 Block of North Olive Street. She advised she went to grab it when she was ready to leave and it was gone. Numerous children were also playing at the playground. The phone was valued at $280.00.

8:32pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle that had a Dark Rear Plate in the 700 Block of 220th Street. The officer’s investigation led to arrest of Shari Ann Allen, 62 of Grand Junction for, OWI 1st Offense – Serious. Allen was also cited for, “Improper Registration Lamp, Fail to Possess a Valid Driver’s License, Open Container – Driver, and Fail to Give Notice of Address Change.” During the stop, a male passenger in the vehicle admitted to the Theft of numerous lighters from Sparky’s One Stop, located at 606 Hwy. 30 East. The officer arrested David Michael Rourke, 41 of Grand Junction for, “Theft 5th Degree.”

10:38pm: An officer responded to the HyVee Fast & Fresh at 106 West Washington after an Alarm Activation. The officer found the business to be secure.
