6:31am: A deputy investigated a car deer accident on 220th Street near J Avenue. Steven Becker 63 of Scranton struck a deer with a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox causing an estimated 8,000 dollars in damage.
10:33am: A deputy investigated a burglary in the 800 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.
12:29pm: The Sheriff, a deputy, Grand Junction Fire, and Jefferson Fire responded to a standing corn field fire in the 1800 block of 250 th Street.
3:30pm: A deputy assisted with a medical issue in the 600 block of South 13th Street, Grand Junction.
3:53pm: A deputy investigated a fire in the 1100 block of Kirkwood Avenue. The fire was found to a controlled burn.
10:22pm: The Sheriff and deputies assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a pursuit in the 500 block of Grimmell Road.
Saturday, October 3rd
1:46am: A deputy investigated a noise complaint in the 600 block of North 18th Street, Grand Junction.
3:56am: A deputy assisted with a medical call in the 2200 block of 275th Street, Rippey.
4:51am: A deputy assisted with a medical call in the 400 block of South 15th Street, Grand Junction.
6:54am: A deputy struck a deer with a patrol vehicle causing an estimated 3,000 dollars damage on 230th Street near T Avenue.
10:50am: A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on 220th Street near U Avenue.
12:09pm: A deputy investigated a burglary on A Avenue near 180th Street.
4:46pm: A deputy investigated a theft in the 2200 block of W Avenue.
5:45pm: A deputy assisted the Boone County Sheriff’s Office with a foot pursuit of burglary suspects in the 100 block of 170th Street in Boone County.
8:34pm: A deputy tried to located a report of a semi stuck on the railroad tracks between Jefferson and Grand Junction. The semi was not located.
8:50pm: A deputy, Grand Junction Fire, Rippey Fire, Perry Fire, Odgen Fire, Paton Fire, Jefferson Fire, Scranton Fire, and Churdan Fire Departments responded to two structures on fire on 19th Street and 220th Street.
11:08pm: A deputy conducted a traffic stop near 222nd Street and 220th Street. The Nicholas Thies of Arthur was found to be possession of suspected marijuana. The controlled substance will be sent to the DCI lab for testing. Charges are pending lab results.
11:27pm: A deputy investigated a theft in the 900 block of Hills Avenue, Churdan.
Sunday, October 4th
10:12am: A deputy conducted a welfare check at the Lions Park on 222nd Street, Grand Junction.
11:15am: A deputy investigated a 911 hang up in the 900 block of Emerald Street.
2:04pm: A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on Neola Avenue near 220th Street.
2:45pm: A deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 900 block of 222nd Street.
4:43pm: A deputy investigated a complaint of people shooting at Pounds Pit on U Avenue.
8:32pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street and Neola Avenue. Shari Allen 62 of Grand Junction was arrested for Operating while intoxicated 1st offense. The deputy requested assistance from the Jefferson Police Department. David Rouke Jr. 41 of Grand Junction was arrested for theft 5 th degree as it was found that he had taken lighters from Sparky’s without paying for them.
9:50pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.
10:58pm: Candice Ortiz 32 of Grand Junction was arrested for Dallas County arrest warrants.
11:40pm: Shari Allen 62 of Grand Junction was booked into the jail for operating while intoxicated 1st offense.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
