novel-coronavirus

Like many school districts across Iowa, Greene County and Paton-Churdan recently created their own COVID-19 webpages.

According to the Greene County School District, there are several charts – updated daily at 5pm – that give the active number of positive COVID-19 cases in each of the three school buildings. One set of charts is for students, and the other set is for staff that has tested positive for the virus. Due to privacy, the district will not release the number of students or staff that are quarantined due to possible exposure from interactions from those who tested positive. However, the district will contact those individuals that may have come into contact with someone who tested positive.

The Paton-Churdan School District on their COVID-19 webpage gives the number of positive COVID-19 cases for students and staff and the number that have recovered, and those who have been quarantined. The district will be updating their COVID-19 information weekly instead of sending out a public notification for every positive case.
