Tuesday is set to be a busy day on the activities calendar for Dallas Center-Grimes Schools, as both the Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country teams will be running, and the Varsity and JV Volleyball squads will be on the floor at Meadows Gym tonight for another Little Hawkeye Conference match tonight, as well.

Matt Pries and Justin Droppert will load the buses with their Cross Country teams for a Co-Ed Invitational at Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville.  With a month to go before the State Cross Country Meet in Fort Dodge, the Mustangs and Fillies seem to be running their best times at the right time.  Other schools running with DC-G tonight include Ankeny Centennial, Ballard, Chariton, Creston Community, Des Moines Lincoln, Grinnell, Indianola, Knoxville, Marshalltown, Melcher-Dallas Community Schools, Norwalk, Notre Dame, Oskaloosa, PCM, Pella Christian, Pella Community, Twin Cedars Community, Urbandale, and Winterset.

DC-G Volleyball can also claim, at minimum, a share of the Little Hawkeye Conference title with a win tonight over Pella in Grimes.  DC-G is 6-3 on the season, winners of five straight.  The Fillies are at the top of the conference standings at 4-0, and with a win tonight over Pella, DC-G would clinch conference bragging rights.  Varsity action begins at 7:30pm.
