Thursday, September 24th
7:54am: Officers and deputies surrounded the residence at 705 West Sunset Road after receiving information that a wanted male was at the residence. The residence was searched but the male was not located.
12:32pm: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.
1:53pm: Based on information provided to officers, the residence at 504 South Olive Street was searched for the wanted male. He was not located at the residence.
1:56pm: HyVee reported finding a small baggie of possible narcotics at 106 West Washington Street. The officer took possession of the suspected methamphetamine for destruction.
3:32pm: Daniel Kernen reported a Suspicious Male near Cedar and Russell Streets. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.
6:19pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 401 East Central Ave. The officer located an employee present, who had accidentally tripped the alarm.
9:04pm: An officer noticed the strong odor of burning marijuana near Harrison and Oak Streets. The officer searched the area by foot but did not locate the source of the odor.
9:13pm: An officer and a deputy went to 206 North Oak Street to look for a male with outstanding Arrest Warrants. The male bolted from a rear door and fled on foot. The officers searched but did not locate the male.
10:33pm: Charles Fairbanks returned home to 702 West Adams Street and found a male in his fenced backyard. The male jumped over the fence and fled from the area. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.
Friday, September 25th
1:29am: An officer assisted a deputy in looking for a reported Suspicious Male walking eastbound on 235th Street, near Q Ave. The male was not located.
2:53am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of West Mahlon Street.
7:41pm: Kathy Welch reported several delivered packages at 1216 Westwood Drive #3. Welch advised the residence is incarcerated and she feared the deliveries would be stolen. The officer contacted a family member of the resident to take possession of the packages.
9:00pm: officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 100 Block of West Sunset Road for, “Vehicle Parked Facing Wrong Direction.”
9:01pm: Sandy White reported two Suspicious Males on bicycles near the Syngenta plant on American Ave. The officer searched the area but did not locate the reported subjects.
9:06pm: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 1200 Block of Riverside for, “Truck/Trailer/RV Parking Violation.”
9:20pm: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 400 Block of South High Street for, “48 Hour Parking Violation.”
9:40pm: Alex Ratliff reported an injured raccoon at 300 North Elm Street. The officer removed the injured coon from the city limits.
Saturday, September 26th
12:23am: Jon Hueser reported a large amount of water running off of Greenewood Road and down the hill on South Elm Street. The officer knew that a hydrant flushes daily at this location but verified that was indeed the issue.
4:28am: James Lorenzen reported a couple screaming at each other outside of 505 North Grimmell Road. The officer made contact with a male at the residence who advised a female was banging on his door demanding to be let inside. He did not let her in, and she walked away. The officer did not locate the female.
8:40am: HyVee reported a vehicle had been parked in their lot at 106 West Washington Street for several days. The officer contacted the registered owner from Grand Junction, who advised it would be removed immediately.
7:43pm: A Traffic Stop in the 200 Block of North Locust Street resulted in Ryan Murphy of Jefferson being cited for, “Failure to Use Headlamps When Required.”
10:31pm: An officer issued a Citation to Ryan Patterson of Jefferson for, “Improper Light on Bicycle.”
Sunday, September 27th
1:15am: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a Speeding Vehicle in the 400 Block of East Monroe Street. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Jonathan David Law, 36 of Churdan for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious.” Law was also cited for, “Fail to Give Notice of Address Change, Failure to Carry Registration Card, Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, and Excessive Speed.”
9:25am: Faheem Jabbar requested a Welfare Check on his daughter who was staying at 308 North Pinet Street. The officer made contact with the female and determined she was fine.
11:49am: Rose Tucker reported a Burglary at her parent’s residence at 1224 Rushridge Drive. Forced entry to a safe was located at the residence. A second safe also had missing items but was not damaged. Tucker is gathering a total of the missing cash and jewelry from the safes. The officer is investigating.
8:57pm: Melissa Rice reported a neighbor advised her someone had been in her apartment overnight at 306 East Lincoln Way Street #5. The officer found no signs of forced entry and nothing was missing from the apartment.
******** An officer has requested Arrest Warrants for Dalton Lee Weber, 22 of Jefferson. The charges stem from officers being called to 206 North Elm Street on 09/23/2020, at 0138 hrs. for a reported assault. The officer has requested arrest warrants for, “Assault – Simple and (2) Counts of Supplying Alcohol to Underage Persons – Simple.”
Note: All charges are merely an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
