As the November general election draws closer, Raccoon Valley Radio will be broadcasting the local contested races.

The Special Edition Meet the Candidates In-Depth News Magazine featured the contested races from the U.S. House to the county elected positions in Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties. In Greene County, there are contested races for Iowa’s Fourth Congressional seat, along with Iowa Senate District 24, Iowa House District 47 and Greene County Supervisor Districts one, four and five. Dallas and Guthrie counties have a contested U.S. House and Iowa Senate District 10 races. Additionally, Dallas County has contested races for Iowa House District 19, Dallas County Supervisor District Two and County Auditor. Guthrie County’s other contested races include Iowa House District 20, Guthrie County Supervisor District Five and County Auditor.

The Special Edition Meet the Candidates In-Depth News Magazine will be on the air on October 6th at 6pm and the 13th at 1pm. The program will also be on raccoonvalleyradio.com following the October 6th airing.
