With the holiday shopping season coming up soon, now is a good time to support Panora businesses while getting savings in return.

The Panora Chamber of Commerce introduced its “Be Local” discount card earlier this summer, which has about 15 continuous offers from member businesses that can be applied through July 31st, 2021. Chamber President Amanda Creen says the cards cost $15 for the public and $10 to Chamber members, and can be purchased by visiting Guthrie County State Bank, Iowa Trust and Savings Bank, Crafty’s Coffee and Gifts, or by contacting the Chamber Facebook page, “We definitely want to get these out, these are of no good to us sitting on a shelf not being sold. We want to get these in the hands of people who can use them so that you can really get your bang for your buck out of these discounts so please don’t hesitate to find a Chamber business, ask about how you can get your discount card, and we’ll make sure that you get one.”

The public is also reminded to visit their favorite Panora businesses during the Shop Local, Eat Local, Be Local promotion that occurs on the second Friday of every month. You can hear more about the Chamber from Creen during today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program on air and at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
