Residents will have one last opportunity this season to take advantage of the Perry Farmers Market.
The final Farmers Market will be held Thursday evening in downtown Perry. In addition to the array of vendors selling local goods, the First Christian Church is bringing their fall coat giveaway to Perry. The Church held its annual coat giveaway last weekend in Adel, offering new and refurbished winter clothing for free.
Perry Chamber of Commerce Director Lynsi Pasutti says they’ve built some good momentum this season, “We might look at some more seasonal holiday (markets) closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas, but we’ll have to play that by ear, if that will work out. If all goes well with the weather, it should be another great market with some seasonal produce. Everything’s on right now from tomatoes and peppers and all of those great things, the different winter squashes, then also the decorative pumpkins. So it’s really a great time to come on down to the Farmers Market.”
The final Perry Farmers Market will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. on 2nd Street between Willis Avenue and Warford Street.
