A socially distanced crowd gathered in front of the Dallas County Courthouse Monday evening to remember Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

There were two speakers at the event, including organizer and Chair for the Dallas County Democratic Party Bryce Smith. Smith tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he was touched to see how many people came out to celebrate the life of Justice Ginsburg, “It was great to see so many familiar faces, some new faces, some people who have their own take on who Justice Ginsburg was to them and how that life impacted the life they live in. I think it was a great turnout, beautiful weather, I think people really took away from this that there is hope knowing that her passions live on in all of us.”

Organizers of the event spoke about the impact Justice Ginsburg had during her time serving on the United States Supreme Court and held a moment of silence.
