The Stuart Public Library is continuing to provide free services to patrons while keeping the health and safety of its staff and community a priority through their curbside services.

The public is currently not allowed to visit the library facilities, but Library Director Lisa Sherman and Assistant Librarian Katie Reynolds are available by phone or email Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sherman mentions that their online catalogue of books, DVDs, audio books, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) kits is one of several services provided on the library’s website, “People can go to our website, stuartlibrary.org, then click on the “Collections” tab at the top, and then you’ll want to click on our online card catalogue and search and reserve books for themselves. If you don’t want to do it online, everyone is always welcome to call (515) 523-2152 and we would be happy to suggest and pick out books for you.”

Sherman emphasizes that this service is open to anyone from adults to little kids, and they continue to get new books weekly for people to check out. The library’s operations are dictated by their Board of Trustees, and their next meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 21 at 6 p.m., and is open to the public.
