The Jefferson Police Department recently released its results from the Labor Day holiday special Traffic Enforcement Program.
According to the department from August 21st-September 7th, officers issued 19 citations and 78 warnings. The most citations issued were for speeding with four and other traffic violations with five. Other citations included seat belt violation, driving with a suspended or revoked license, no registration, and no proof of insurance. The most warnings that were issued were for speeding with 18.
Also during that time period, officers investigated three traffic accidents and assisted two motorists. Click the link below to see the full report.
