Governor Kim Reynolds visited Greenfield among other western Iowa towns Wednesday afternoon.
Reynolds stopped by The Corner coffee shop and spoke with owners Tom and Tammy Walp about they’ve weathered the COVID-19 pandemic, and she fielded some questions a few residents about how the state and the nation’s handling of the pandemic have impacted businesses and local control for school boards.
Reynolds was pleased with how the business and others across Iowa have survived, and she commented on her visit, “We’ve kind of had a busy day but it’s been a fun day, we’ve been all over, haven’t we? We haven’t done much of that either and I miss, it’s my favorite part of what I do is to get out and visit businesses and go to different counties, and so that’s been kind of a bummer too, to not be able to do more of that. So that’s good for me.”
Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg is also visiting communities in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area today as part of the Governor’s Office’s public schedule this week.
