The West Central Valley Wildcat volleyball was able to be competitive Saturday at the Clarinda Classic, but unfortunately were unable to pick up any wins in their four games, falling to Clarinda and Nodaway Valley in two sets, and Tri-Center and Sidney.
The Wildcats were competitive against Tri-Center, winning the second set in the match in a thriller, but unfortunately couldn’t take the 3rd due to some key plays from the Trojans. In the game against Sidney, the Wildcats were able to gain control early and take the first set 21-14. The second set WCV and Sidney went back and forth, but the Cowgirls were able to take the set 25-23. In the third Sidney was able to get a couple of key kills and blocks as well, and take the set and victory 15-10.
The Wildcats were competitive throughout most of their matches, and hope to pick up their first win of the season sometime this week as the Wildcats get back into West Central Activities Conference play.
