Today we celebrate Labor Day and as such, several governmental entities and other businesses are closed.

The Greene County Courthouse, Jefferson City Hall, Greene County Extension Office, the Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Office, Greene County Community Center, Jefferson Public Library and Jefferson Post Office are closed today. Library staff reminds patrons that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Due to the holiday, Jefferson garbage routes will be delayed by one day. The garbage schedule will go back to normal the following week.
