adm-7

ADM Tiger football is coming off of a close loss on Friday night, but there were signs that this team could have multiple playmakers at all three levels of the defense that could help their unit improve throughout the season.

ADM found some great play on the defensive line, as junior Cody Felt was able to get nine tackles on the night while sophomore Ben Gard was able to add up eight tackles as well, including a pair that were tackles for loss. Felt also had a key punt block that led to a touchdown on the offensive end.

At the linebacking position, senior Nathan Pfiffner was able to get his first start of the season after sitting out the week 1 game, and made an immediate impact with 9.5 tackles on the game. In the secondary, junior Gabe Heitz made another impact leading the team with tackles with ten.

The defense gave up touchdowns in the first two drives of the game, but were able to really be strong the rest of the game with one of the final two given up in OT when Gilbert got the ball on the 10.

If ADM can continue to get good production from their defensive unit and avoid a slow start, this is a group that can really come around and give this Tiger team a lot of chances to win ball games this year.
