Admission to the Guthrie County Fair is free this weekend, and fairgoers can also enjoy a new type of entertainment for free at the grandstand tonight.
The final grandstand show this year is called NAG Races, which attendees are also welcome to compete in at 7 p.m. Fair Board President Tyler Carney gives some insight into this new show, “There’s a lot of buzz about that and it’s a team of two. It can be a husband and wife, a couple of friends, boyfriend and girlfriend, whatever the team consists of, but it’s two people navigating an obstacle course in a timed manner. And the driver is actually blindfolded and the other team member is supposed to to be on a microphone or headset to help them navigate the obstacle course and it should be pretty entertaining and something new so we look forward to seeing how that shakes out.”
Other events at the fair Sunday include antique tractor demonstrations and a bags tournament at the grandstand, in addition to beef livestock shows. Raccoon Valley Radio is continuing its live broadcast from the fair with the Big Red Radio through Monday, and you can find more coverage on our Guthrie County Fair page.
