After dropping three matches in a row, Cheryl Voelker’s Dallas Center-Grimes Volleyball team get back on a winning track this week with a 5-set win over conference opponent, Oskaloosa on Senior Night at Meadows Gym in Grimes.

The Fillies won the first two sets of the evening, 25-15 and 25-20, but then Osky rattled off two straight set wins to even the match a 2-2 a piece and forcing a fifth and decisive set to 15.  DC-G refocused and came up big winning the final set 15-8 to seal the victory.

Tuesday’s win over Oskaloosa was a quality “W” for Voelker’s club as the Indians made the trip to DC-G with, what had been, a perfect 5-0 record.

DC-G had started the season with four straight Class 5A opponents, and went 1-3 in that stretch.  The one win came against Urbandale.

DC-G is now off until Tuesday when they make a trip to Grinnell.
