The Guthrie County Fair continues with livestock shows and entertainment for the public tomorrow.
Saturday’s schedule includes dog trials in the horse arena at 8 a.m., an antique power tractor parade around the fairgrounds at 9 a.m., poultry show at 10 a.m., and the sheep and goat show at 4:30 p.m. This is the final year for Cass Pioneers 4-H Club Vice President Hailey Meacham, who will be showing a pen of chickens both for 4-H and for the Panorama FFA Chapter. She shares what she wants to get out of this weekend, “I think I’m just looking forward to being able to show for one last time, and just being with, like I’m obviously friends with them all year round but I don’t see a lot of the people from Guthrie and different schools, I don’t see them all the time like I would normally in a 4-H year because we do more county activities throughout the year. So I haven’t seen a lot of those people a lot, which it’ll be nice to see them again and get to kind of catch up on how their lives have been going through all of this.”
There are several other attractions to check out at the Guthrie County Fair tomorrow, including chainsaw demonstrations, a magic show at the 4-H and FFA Education Center, and figure eight races at 7 p.m. in the grandstand for a $10 admission. Listen to Raccoon Valley Radio as we continue to broadcast live from the fair with our Big Red Radio, and find more coverage on the Guthrie County Fair Page.
