The Perry football team will look to improve their offensive production tonight when the Bluejays travel to Saydel for a 7:30 game against the 0-1 Eagles.  Perry should have an opportunity to pick up some offensive confidence after Saydel allowed 55 points in their season opening loss to South Tama.  The Trojans scored 28 points in the first eight minutes.  Perry was shutout last week by Greene County and head coach Bryce Pierce indicated that his focus has been on attention to detail for his team.

“We want to be able to run our base plays time and time again without hesitation and without mistake.  Everybody needs to know their assignment and not have any type of hesitation or confusion.  So this week we spent a lot of time on simply improving our base packages on offense.  We ran the same play over and over until we felt satisfied with the execution.”

Perry will look to get their running backs more involved as the Bluejays relied on the quarterback power for a good chunk of the night against Greene County.  Abe Ruiz was limited to just six carries and will look to be more of a presence tonight.

Shawn Kenney and Jason Olejniczak will have the call on KDLS at 6:30 tonight with kickoff at 7:30.
