Though the public may visit various offices in the Guthrie County Courthouse, the Sheriff’s Office located in the courthouse basement remains closed to the public.
The office and county jail has been restricted to visitors since March 18th in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 to staff and inmates. The Sheriff’s Office is asking residents who request a deputy for a call of service to let the dispatcher know if you have been ill or have a fever. This is to ensure the deputies will use precautions to keep safe and help prevent the risk of spreading the virus to others. For other matters, the public can contact the office by telephone at 641-747-2214, fax at 641-747-3346, or email at gcso391@netins.net.
