The #1 ranked team in Class 3A is Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs, and following an absolute domination of#2 ranked, Pella Little Dutch on Friday, it’s no secret that the Mustangs will be a heavy favorite heading into Friday’s road game with North Polk.
DC-G and North Polk will be meeting for the first time in Alleman. The Comets are coming off of a 27-7 loss on Friday at Ballard.
Senior Quarterback, Ty Walker lead the Mustang offense with 2 TD passes, completing 13 of 21 passes for a total of 131 yards through the air. Junior QB, Huston Halverson added on a TD pass late in the 4th quarter to seal the win.
RB Zach Brand also tacked on a touchdown. Brand rushed for 140 yards on the ground on 31 carries.
DC-G’s 30-6 win over Pella on Friday was the largest defeat for the Little Dutch since the 3A State Championship in 2012.
