West Central Valley volleyball will be back on the court today and looking fo their first win of the season when they play their home opener against the Cardinals of Earlham. The Wildcats opened their season last week against Woodward Granger on the road, and put up a very good fight despite the loss.
Earlham comes into the match with a 2-3 record on the season, while the Wildcats have only played the one match and are 0-1 on the year. The Wildcats will be looking to continue to look to their key players which includes the sophomore trio of Emily Goodner, who led the team in kills, Isabella Munoz who lead the team in digs, and Bethany Speichinger, who lead this young Wildcat in assists through that first game.
Historically this is a series that Earlham has piled up a lot of wins in, but the Wildcats were able to record their first win in the series last year since 2010.
They will be looking to go back to back tonight at home in Stuart, with the match slated to begin at 5 o’clock.
