A rescheduled open house for a new facility in Jefferson is taking place tomorrow.

The new Greene County High School and Career Academy open house will be held from 12:30-3:30pm Saturday. Superintendent Tim Christensen describes some of the parameters with the open house event.

“We’re going to have school in two days. The school will be cleaned and all of those kinds of things. So it’ll give people a really good look at the school but there will be limited access. It’s a fantastic facility and I highly encourage everybody to come and take a look because like I said it’s fantastic and I can’t wait for the public to see it.”

As an added precaution, anyone taking part in the walk through is required to wear a mask and use hand sanitizer when you first arrive. The facility was funded by a previously passed bond issuance by voters in the school district and pledges from other non-profit organizations, and governmental entities. It is located at the corner of Grimmel Road and Highway 30.
