10:07am: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1500 block of 235th Street.

11:51am: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 600 block of Head Street, Churdan.

8:42pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.

Wednesday, August 26th

3:44pm: A deputy investigated a complaint of a dog attacking a cat in the 300 block of 3rd Street in Rippey.

4:38pm: A deputy assisted the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office with a single vehicle accident on 330th Street and A Avenue. Randall Venteicher 51 of Scranton was traveling east on 330th Street and attempted to turn onto A Avenue. Randall lost control of the vehicle and entered the North ditch totaling the 2008 Chevrolet Silverado. Randall was arrested for operating while under the influence by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.

6:40pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 900 block of Sand Street, Churdan.

9:11pm: A deputy investigated a domestic at 19th Street and Percival Street in Grand Junction.

11:32pm: A deputy investigated a complaint of kids vandalizing new playground equipment in the Churdan City Park.

Thursday, August 27th

10:54am: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 900 block of Sand Street, Churdan.

11:38am: A deputy investigated a phone scam in the 1100 block of Eagle Street, Scranton.

11:54am: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 700 block of Oak Street, Scranton.

2:25pm: The Sheriff and deputies assisted the Jefferson Police Department with the arrest of Matthew Goff 46 of Bayard in the 300 block of North Vine Street.

2:41pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with covering a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of East Clark Street, Jefferson. William Blanchard 57 of Jefferson backed into a parked vehicle with his 2005 GMC Envoy. Blanchard’s vehicle had an estimated 500 dollars damage. The parked 2002 Chevrolet Silverado owned by Saundra Ford 78 of Jefferson had an estimated 2,000 dollars damage. Blanchard was issued a citation for unsafe backing.

3:00pm: Matthew Goff 46 of Bayard was booked into the jail for trespass 2nd offense and criminal mischief 4th degree.

6:05pm: A deputy assisted the Carroll Police Department with locating a vehicle that left the scene of an accident in Scranton.

6:14pm: A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on 220th Street near Oakland Avenue.

7:15pm: James Pena 22 of Jefferson was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
