Tuesday night was the first night of competition for the Dallas Center-Grimes Volleyball squad, as they opened the season in a home triangular hosting Southeast Polk and Urbandale.

The Fillies got off to solid start in the first match versus Southeast Polk.  DC-G downed the Rams in the first set 25-21, and 25-16 in the second set.  The two set sweep started the Fillies with a 1-0 mark on the season, but the perfect start to the season was short lived.

DC-G faced Urbandale in the second match, and the J-Hawks took care of business versus the home team, winning in a two-set sweep by the scores of 18-25 and 16-25.

Cheryl Voelker’s club is now off until Tuesday when they host a conference match with Oskaloosa at 7:30pm.
