Greene County volleyball begins the 2020 campaign tonight in Glidden vs. Collins-Maxwell and Glidden-Ralston. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s team is led by three senior returning letter winners including hitter Brianna Osterson.

At 5′ 7″, Osterson talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about what it take for her to be a good hitter despite not being very tall. “I try to wait a little bit and go faster so I can get more power behind it (the ball) and that way I can get that extra oomph to get up. Timing is definitely the key in it and it takes time.”

Sophomore Natalie Heupel is the Greene County setter this season, and Osterson was asked how the setter/hitter relationship is going. “I think it’s going great and that Natalie is a great edition. She’s doing very well!”

After tonight, the Rams go back on the road Thursday with a trip to Ft. Dodge St. Edmond to face the Gaels.
