Perry Activities Director Scott Pierce has informed Raccoon Valley Radio news that Perry high school will be one of the few Raccoon River conference schools who not impose a spectator limit for the upcoming fall sports season. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a number of high schools are limiting the number of fans that can attend a high school sporting event. Perry has decided to keep it simple and let the town enjoy the high school sporting experience.
“For us, the number one priority is to keep admissions high and to keep spectator numbers high. We didn’t put a cap on fans attending games like a lot of schools around us did. When fans come in, we will have a million social distancing signs with our logo and is posted everywhere. The main thing we ask is that you stay in your family pods and social distance from other pods in the stands. Masks are also strongly suggested, especially in the working booths in the press box. We tried to keep it as simple as possible for our fans to enjoy the game.”
Perry’s first home date will be in volleyball tomorrow night.
