A Dallas Center teenager has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred Saturday afternoon.
Sources say the incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Highway 44 near T Avenue, about two miles east of Dallas Center. Nineteen year old Alyssa Mae Rose Pollock was driving a Chevrolet Malibu eastbound while a motorcycle was traveling westbound. Pollock allegedly turned northbound at T Avenue into the oncoming motorcycle. The bumper was torn off Pollock’s vehicle but she proceeded to her residence where Dallas County Sheriff’s Deputies located her afterwards. Two people were transported by Dallas County EMS to MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines with serious injuries. Pollock is charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident and failure to yield upon a left turn.
