Residential garbage service in the City of Perry will be resuming starting Thursday.
The City has been without a residential garbage truck following a wreck August 10th. The City’s residential garbage truck was blown off the road during the derecho storm and was totaled. While the City looks for a permanent solution, they found a rental truck to use. Residential service will resume Thursday. If you have garbage bags from Monday or Tuesday of this week, you may take them to the recycle dumpsters at the McCreary Center, high school football field parking lot and the police department parking lot.
