The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors received an update on the construction timeline for the law enforcement center addition at their meeting Tuesday.

Project Manager Sid Samuels presented details of the 13 bid packages he is proposing they send out for contractors, and he said he expects the Board to approve another item on the project next week after they have received the final design plans from architect Mike Lewis. After the contractor is awarded, Samuels said they will have 14 months to complete the project, and the bid specifications will include a construction schedule for subcontractors to keep on time. Samuels anticipates the building to be finished around December 12th, 2021. The Board approved the bid package specifications, while taking out the liquidated damages section. The Board also approved an invoice from Lewis, after discussing some further changes to the plans to try to keep near the $8.7 million pricetag they set with a bond referendum that was passed last March.
