The new Perry Garbage Truck
A Perry City vehicle was damaged following a single-vehicle wreck Monday.
According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Perry, a residential garbage truck driven by Brian Eiteman of Perry was heading west on 130th Street when he was forced to swerve to avoid hitting a downed tree from a storm. The vehicle left the roadway into a ditch, tipping over onto the driver’s side. Eiteman was able to exit the vehicle and was taken by private vehicle to be checked for minor injuries. The estimated damage to the vehicle is $15,000. Because of the wreck, residential garbage services in Perry are suspended until further notice.
