The State of Iowa has surpassed 50,000 positive COVID-19 cases.
According to the state dashboard Friday, there were 59 new cases in Dallas County since Tuesday, increasing their total to 1,949. They also have 1,514 individuals that have recovered and 35 deaths. Greene County had 42 positive cases, 37 recoveries, and zero deaths. According to the Guthrie and Adair County dashboard as of Friday, Guthrie County had seven new positive cases increasing their total to 140, with 108 recoveries and five deaths. Adair County reported eight new positive cases for a total of 38, with 20 recoveries, and no deaths.
Statewide, there were 1,602 new cases since Tuesday for a total of 50,942, with 39,943 recoveries and 967 deaths. Of the 543,492 people that have been tested, 489,305 were negative.
Additionally, in Region 1 of the Regional Medical Coordination Centers Hospital Data – which includes all of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area – there are currently 84 hospitalized patients, with 19 in Intensive Care Units, and nine admitted in the last 24 hours.
