Scott Heitland’s Dallas Center-Grimes Mustang Football started practice for the 2020 season this past week.

The first week of practice was unlike any other football season’s first week of practice.  Players spent the first week of practice without pads, although wearing helmets, however the biggest change was the wearing of masks and the sanitation procedures mandated by the rules implemented by the Iowa High School Athletic Association.

Though this season’s going to be costly and very high maintenance, coaches and players alike won’t be complaining, as the opportunity to play is greater than the hindrance of the stipulations.

DC-G will open it’s 2020 season in less than two weeks.  The Mustangs kick off their season on Friday, August 28 in Grimes hosting Pella in a Class 3A Top-5 ranked match-up.
