With practice officially underway for fall sports, the next step will be figuring out how to safely have spectators in attendance.
Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Activities Direct Rod Wibers says those discussions are being held now. During baseball and softball season each conference was allowed to come up with their own guidelines for spectators. Wibers says football will certainly be the biggest challenge for schools as that’s the biggest attraction. Football districts around the state have thrown out the idea including only allowing a certain number of tickets to be sold per athlete to limit large crowds. Wibers adds nothing has been set in stone for ADM’s district, which includes Dallas Center-Grimes, Des Moines Hoover, Norwalk, Perry, and Winterset.
Those who will be unable to attend ADM’s football games can listen to the Tigers on the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network on 107.9 FM, online at RaccoonValleyRadio.com, and on the free KKRF mobile app.
