Wednesday, August 12th

1:55am: An officer located an Open Door at 600 East Lincoln Way Street. The officer cleared the building and secured the door.

6:09am: Tressa Hatfield reported cows in the roadway near Elm and 250 th Street. The officer contacted the owner of the cattle and advised them of the situation.

1:23pm: Harry Coil reported hearing an explosion near Grimmell and Lincoln Way Streets. The officer located a tree branch on a power line, causing an electrical arch. Alliant Energy was contacted to correct the issue.

2:02pm: Dispatch advised an officer of a 911 Hang Up Call in the 300 Block of West Reed Street. It was determined a child was playing with the phone. No assistance was needed.

6:19pm: Lindsey Wathen Brady reported she located a young female walking alone in the 700 Block of South Oak Street. The child advised her she was running away from home. The child advised the officer she was always getting into trouble and decided to run away. The officer transported the child back home to the 300 Block of West Harrison Street and spoke to her mother, who advised she thought the child was in her room.

11:57pm: Tyler Smits reported as he drove on North Elm Street, he passed by a male walking in the area. Smits advised he thought he heard what sounded like a gun being cocked. The officer was unable to locate anyone walking in this area of town. Smits had not seen the male have a gun, only the sound he described to the officer.
