Junior Tate Stine-Smith continues to add on all of the postseason accolades for his stellar 2020 season, being named 1st team all-state by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association. The list was announced for class 3A yesterday for players all over the state of Iowa, as Stine-Smith was listed in the outfielder category.
Stine-Smith was able to propel the Tigers to an excellent season, with being one of the top players in the Raccoon River Conference this year, and was a huge threat in the middle of the Tiger lineup. His fielding ability was also extremely important for the Tigers, as he saved multiples hits throughout the season displaying great athleticism in the field. He was one of only two players in the RRC to make the 1st team in the state.
Forty eight players were selected as part of this team, as Stine-Smith also had all-conference and all-district team honors under his name. Stine-Smith will have one more season on the diamond next year, as he will be one of the top players projected to return for this Tigers team.
