AUGUST 6 to AUGUST 12, 2020 

August 6: Accident: 

Received report of a bicycle theft in the 1300 block of Willis Ave. 

August 7: Accident: Vehicle 1 – Silver 2008 Toyota SW registered to Jorge Xuncax, 1703 Winter, Perry. Vehicle 2 – legally parked Blue Hyundai Tucson registered to Leslie Devon, 9800 Newport Vista Dr., Johnston, lowa Driver of vehicle one advised he was pulling a car with his vehicle, that vehicle is listed as the trailer in this report. The vehicle he was pulling came detached from his vehicle and struck vehicle two which was legally parked on private property. Approximate damages $1,000. 

Report of harassment in the 1300 block of 1st Ave received, Officer spoke to parties and advised to ceases contact with each other, 

Accident: Vehicle 1 Red 2010 Toyota Camry 4D registered to and driven by Chester Donald Isley, 1220 5th St., Perry, lowa. Vehicle 2 Red 2016 Toyota Tacoma PK, registered to and driven by Brian Garrett, 1135 Court St., Adel, lowa. Vehicle 2 was stopped at a red light on the north side of Highway 141 and 1st Ave intersection heading southbound. Vehicle 1 was also southbound and reached down to grab an item that had fallen. He did not see vehicle 2 stopped at the red light and rear-ended vehicle 2. Total estimated damage $2500. Driver of vehicle 1 was cited with failure to stop in assured clear distance. 

Officers responded to the 1600 block of 7th Street on a report of a domestic dispute. Arrest: Dakota Bradley Barrett, age 20, 1624 7th St., Perry was taken into custody and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic abuse assault 1st offense. 

August 8: 

Officers responded to the 2000 block of Otley concerning a theft report. Approximate loss $110.

Accident: Vehicle 1-Blue 2006 Nissan registered to Erick Fernando Medrano Chic, 1911 Willis Ave., Perry, Driver: Anthony Ramiriz age 16 of Perry Driver of vehicle 1 lost control and crashed into a tree in the 1300 block of 5th Street. 

Arrest: Christopher Joseph Hidlebaugh, age 22, 16770 N Ave, Bouton charged with driving under suspension. 

Officers responded to the 1300 block of 1st Street on a report of a possible theft. August 9: Officers responded to the 500 block of 4th Street on a report of an assault. Case under investigation. Officers responded to the 800 block of Rawson on a report of a domestic and possible sex assault. Arrest: Ricardo Hernandez-Hernandez, age 32, 819 Rawson for domestic abuse assault 1st offense and sex abuse 2nd degree. 

Received a report of harassment. Incident took place in Yale – referred to Guthrie County.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of 14th Street on a report of a domestic disturbance. Verbal altercation. Parties separated

August 10: 

Report of a hit and run accident in the 1600 block of lowa. City rolling garbage can damaged, estimated value $75

Officers responded to Weise park on a report of a bicycle theft. Officers responded to the 1900 block of Pine on harassment. 

Accident: Vehicle 1 – Silver 2013 Jeep Patriot registered to and driven by Kassandra Eiteman, 823 4th Street, Perry. Vehicle 2 – White 2006 Honda Civic 4D registered to and driven by Carlos Humberto Mayorga Rodriguez, 2801 !st Ave, Perry. 

UNIT 1 TRAVELING WESTBOUND FROM YIELD SIGN AS UNIT 2 WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON ESTELLA THROUGH INTERSECTION. UNIT 1 STATES SHE CAME TO A STOP BEFORE PROCEEDING THROUGH INTERSECTION AND STATES UNIT 2 WAS SPEEDING. UNIT 1 STATES ‘I HIT HIM’. UNIT 1 STATES SHE THOUGHT UNIT 2 WAS NOT GOING TO STAY AND WAS TOLD BY UNIT 2 THAT “IT WAS JUST A FENDER BENDER”. UNIT 1 STATES SHE INSISTED THE POLICE BE CALLED. UNIT 2 STATES UNIT 1 DID NOT YIELD TO THEIR VEHICLE AND HIT THEM IN THE INTERSECTION. BOTH UNITS DIFFER ON ACCOUNT OF INCIDENT, UNIT 1 IS BEING CITED FOR FAILURE TO YIELD AND UNIT 2 IS CITED FOR FAILURE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF INSURANCE. 

Officers responded to the 1300 block of 1st Ave on a report of a stolen vehicle. Accident: Vehicle 1 – White 2010 Dodge Caravan registered to and driven by Jessica Renea Khalid, 500 4Th St, Perry. Vehicle 2- USPS postal vehicle, Vehicle 1 backed into vehicle 2. Mail carrier was no longer at the scene and accident report has not been completed

August 11; Accident: Vehicle 1 – blk 2015 Chevy Equinox registered to and driven by Glenda Hiddleson, 103 5 1st St., Dawson. Vehicle 2 – Black 2001 Dodge Ram truck registered to and driven by Christopher Scantin, 515 3rd St., Perry, Both vehicles were in the Ace Hardware parking lot. Vehicle 1 backed out into vehicle 2. No damage to vehicle 2, estimated $1200 damages to vehicle 1. 

Received a report of theft from a vehicle in the 1700 block of 7th Street. Estimated loss $50. Officers responded to the 900 block of Willis Ave on a report of harassment. Arrest: Torry Blake Denson, age 36, 1617 lowa, Perry, was taken into custody and charged with Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.
