Both the The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn and Perry school board meetings scheduled for Monday were postponed due to power issues caused by severe weather.

Hopefully, the third time will be the charm for the ADM School Board. They initially just pushed their meeting one day, but continued power outages forced them to push their meeting back to Wednesday. The meeting will start with first and last readings regarding annual policies that include employee leave, excused absences, and the child abuse reporting protocol. The Board will then hear updates on construction projects, the Return to Learn plan, and fall activities.  The meeting will start at 6 p.m. in the District Administration Building in Adel.

The Perry School Board will also be holding their postponed meeting this afternoon. During their meeting, they were planning to discuss the addition of a health assistant position to help with the extra workload the nursing staff will have due to COVID-19.

Other items on the agenda were the annual student teaching agreement with Morningside College, eligibility requirements for Des Moines Area Community College academic classes, and the approval of staff handbooks. The meeting will start at 12 p.m. Wednesday
