The Stuart City Council approved a ninth pay estimate for the All Saints Addition housing project at their meeting Monday.

The amount was about $179,435 to Concrete Technologies, as well as $10,010 in electrical engineering fees to DGR Engineering. City Engineer Forrest Aldrich told the Council that all underground utilities have been installed, and crews plan to start paving the addition this week or next, weather permitting. The Council also approved setting a public hearing on September 14th for vacating the rights of way between Southwest 7th and 8th streets for the areas platted as south Adair and Wise streets for projects for Karl Chevrolet and DICA Manufacturing. They also approved capping their city attorney budget at $13,000 annually for Beverly Wild, and approved a resolution requesting reimbursement for costs related to the COVID-19 public health emergency from the Iowa COVID-19 Government Relief Fund.
