The West Central Valley fall sports athletics get underway today, as the football, cross country, and volleyball seasons all get underway today in the state of Iowa.

For West Central Valley football, they will be under the direction of first year head football coach Jim Lindsay, as he will be leading a rebuilding program and will look for improvement as the season goes along.

The volleyball team will be under the leadership of Kaleb Brown, as they will look to put together another improved team after a six win campaign from a year ago. They will have a young team but will have good talent on it as well.

The cross country team will be guided by the presence of coach Dave Hammond, as the Wildcats have some exciting runners on their team, and hope to put on a good showing during meets throughout the season.

Players will be going through a lot of tough drills and conditioning this first week, as they look to make the school district proud with the upcoming season.
