The Jefferson Parks and Recreation youth soccer program is starting up soon.
The U10-U15 soccer programs are held in conjunction with the Fort Dodge Soccer Association, where all of the games will be played in Fort Dodge and the practices will take place at the Greene County High School football practice field, located next to Highway 4 in Jefferson. Practices will begin the week of August 24th and games will start September 12th. Jefferson Parks and Rec Assistant Director Nathan Kral says registration is open now.
“In addition to signing up at the rec (center in Jefferson), this year all parents will need to sign up their players on the Fort Dodge Soccer Association website and upload a photo. The Greene County registration window to do this is August 1st through August 10th. If you don’t register during this time, you will not be allowed to play this season.”
Cost to participate is $40 for Greene County Community Center members and $45 for non-members. Additional fees include a jersey for $15, and shorts or socks each for $5. A birth certificate is required to sign up. Call the rec center at 515-386-3412 for more information or to register.
