Wednesday, August 5th
12:29am: A female called the LEC advising she had been threatened with a firearm by a male in the 700 block of Sunset Drive. Officers arrived and escorted the male to the Greene County Medical Center for a mental evaluation
6:22am: An anonymous female contacted the LEC advising of a suspicious male near the intersection of South Elm Street and Sunset Drive. An officer did not locate the male
10:57am: Nicole Borkowski reported a male had entered her vehicle and stolen a cell phone in the Hy Vee parking lot. An officer is investigating
1:30pm: An anonymous female notified the LEC of illegal burning in the 800 block of West South Street. An officer notified the individual burning yard waste of the burn ban and the fire was extinguished
5:27pm: Whitney Rosenbe located a stray dog in the 1200 block of North Elm Street. An officer transported the small brown Dachshund mix to P.A.W.S.
6:36pm: Marty Wiedman notified officers of suspicious activity in the 200 block of North Oak Street
7:02pm: Amy Blum reported a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of South Locust Street. An officer checked the area multiple times but did not locate the vehicle
9:20pm: Deb Monthei reported loud screaming in the 600 block of South Walnut Street. An officer responded but did not locate anyone in the area
11:30pm: Kaleb Silbaugh reported a car alarm going off in the 300 block of South Wilson Avenue. An officer responded and made contact with the vehicle’s owner who disengaged the alarm
