Amid all the adjustments forced upon the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District over the recent months, one major project remains on track.
Superintendent Greg Dufoe tells Raccoon Valley Radio that construction on the new Adel Elementary School is underway and is making good progress. “Progress on the new elementary school is going very well. We’re on schedule. I just drove out there and took a look, took some pictures, and it looks great. That still remains, and we’re excited that remains part of our focus as well.”
Dufoe says he anticipates the building being ready to go for the 2021-22 school year. The addition of the new building should alleviate the growing enrollment numbers. The District has had to close open enrollment over the last four years due to not having enough space to take on students from outside the district.
