The City of Panora is considering a street extension near Panorama Elementary.
The City Council heard a presentation from Panora Telco General Manager Andy Randol on extending Clay Street on a parcel of land that the company owns during their recent meeting. City Administrator Lisa Grossman says the street would be extended west to Panther Drive, with lots available for housing development. The Council approved an engagement letter with law firm Brick Gentry, P.C. to assist them in the acquisition of the land. In other Council business, they adopted their recodified Code of Ordinances after a first reading and waiving of the second and third. They also approved the purchase of a Hydro-Vac machine for the electric department for a cost of $31,500.
