Monday, July 27th

2:52am: A caller advised of a couple in a vehicle at 606 Hwy. 30 East, who were involved in a fight. The officer made contact with the couple and determined a verbal argument was occurring. Both parties advised nothing physical had occurred between them.

9:58am: Charlie Paniagua reported two females in her apartment at 301 ½ East Lincoln Way Street without her permission. The officer spoke to the females and the property owner and the officer determined that Paniagua is not on the lease to the apartment and can not decide who is welcome there.

11:00am: Cassidy Bowen reported two females in a vehicle yelling at her at 308 East Garfield Street. The subjects had left the area before the officer’s arrival.

11:06am: A caller advised he had received flower seeds from over seas in the mail and had not ordered them. This is reported to be occurring nationwide and we are advised not to plant the seeds by government officials.

11:31am: Patsy McGinnis reported a vehicle parked in her driveway at 408 South Olive Street. The officer located the vehicle’s owner at a neighboring residence and the vehicle was moved.

12:48pm: An officer performed a vehicle unlock for an elderly female at 303 North Elm Street.

12:52pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop in the 500 Block of West Lincoln Way with a vehicle that had an expired registration and a brake light out. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Shayla Nicole Stephenson, 30 of Grand Junction for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious and Child Endangerment – Serious.” She was also cited for, “Fail to use Child Restraint Device, Improper Rear Lamp, and Operation without Registration.”

5:21pm: Amy Baugh advised of Harassing Posts on Face Book. The officer advised her to close her account as we do not police Social Media.

8:06pm: Karibeth Baker reported an Assault had actually occurred at 606 Hwy. 30 East at 0252 hrs. She advised that out of fear she had lied to the officer earlier about the argument called in to police. The officer is investigating the reported assault.

10:41pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance and the Medical Examiner in the 500 Block of West Monroe Street.
