The #2 seeded team in the Class 3A State Tournament Bracket is the Mustangs of Dallas Center-Grimes High School, and today, the moment the young Mustangs and their coaches have been waiting for is finally here.

After falling short of a State Tournament bid last year and falling to ADM in the second round of District play, Byron Peyton’s team was bound and determined to get to Principal Park today.

This afternoon at 4:30pm, DC-G will toss out the first pitch to #7 seed, Benton Community from Vinton.  Benton comes in just a shade over .500 on the season after gliding through their District bracket.
