The Panora Fire Department responded twice to a fire that consumed a house southeast of town Sunday night.
According to Panora Fire Chief Matt Harmann they responded at about 10:43 p.m. to a house fully engulfed in flames at 3181 255th Lane. No one was at the residence at the time of the fire, and Harmann believes a neighbor had notified dispatch of the fire. Multiple departments helped apply water to the structure until about 1:30 a.m. The Panora Fire Department was called back to the structure at about 7 a.m. Monday for hotspots?, and they left the scene at 10 a.m. No one was injured from the incident, the house is considered a total loss, and cause of the fire is undetermined. Panora Emergency Medical Services, and Panora Police Department, Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, and the Stuart and Redfield fire departments assisted at the scene. According to the Guthrie County Assessor real estate webpage, the property is owned by Randy and Lisa Sparks.
